Barbara King

Barbara King (she/her/hers) is a Mental Health Clinician, for a non-profit in the greater Los Angeles area that focuses on mental health and housing first for Homeless and recently housed adults. Barbara King received her BA in Psychology from Fisk University and her MSW from CSU Dominguez Hills. Barbara has worked with  LGBTQIAA+, veterans, youth in the foster and probation systems, aging adults, children and adults in human trafficking, and police officers conducting training, ride alongs for mental health, and crisis interventions.

 

Barbara was raised in LA and has seen the beauty and pain of the city she loves dearly. Barbara is an advocate for social justice and creating equity for all people despite immigration status, ableism, race, ethnicity, gender, etc. Barbara enjoys all things self-care, but most importantly she loves spending time with her family and friends.
